This soap is produced by Adva, founded in 2014 by Shlomo and Naomi Keshet in Kochav HaShachar, in the Binyamin region. The company uses a cold process method that preserves the integrity of natural oils and herbal ingredients, and incorporates native plants gathered from nearby fields alongside minerals sourced from the Dead Sea.
Adva was established after the birth of the Keshets’ son, Elanatan, with the goal of creating structured employment for individuals with special needs. That framework continues within the workshop today, where employees participate directly in production, preparation, wrapping, and packaging.
The soap included in this box is myrtle scented. Myrtle appears among the Four Species used during Sukkot and is associated specifically with fragrance. In Isaiah, the myrtle emerges as a sign of renewal replacing thorns and wasteland. Across the hills of Israel, myrtle bushes grow densely along paths and terraces, releasing their scent most strongly in heat and wind.
This bar is made with cold pressed Israeli olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil, almond oil, sesame oil, and shea butter. Green clay helps draw excess oil and residue from the skin, particularly for oily or acne-prone complexions. Essential oils of lavender, rosemary, melissa, and myrtle create a clean herbal aroma with resinous depth beneath the floral notes.
“Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle.”
— Isaiah 55:13

Adva Myrtle Soap
Adva Natural Treasures (previously named Saboneto) was established in 2014 by Shlomo and Naomi Keshet. The parents of 6 boys felt incredibly blessed by the birth of their 4th son, who they named Elnatan, which means God gives in Hebrew. Elnatan was born with Down Syndrome. Shlomo and Naomi wanted to ensure that all their children, including Elnatan, would find ways to share their unique gifts and talents with the world. With that in mind, Adva was established with a mission to embrace all people, and specifically those with special needs. Employment with Adva allows them to work and earn a dignified living.
