Meet the Creator: Tali Taisiya Melter

Tali Taisiya Melter immigrated to Israel as a teenager and immediately felt a deep pull toward the landscapes around her. Over the past two decades, she has built her life in the Binyamina region with her husband and children, exploring Israel’s mountains, alleys, ports, beaches, and ancient desert paths with a sketchbook in hand.

Her artistic work is influenced by that personal journey — the experience of arriving in a new country and discovering its stories by walking through them. She created Fantastic Israel as a way to share that connection with others, especially families abroad who want their children to grow up familiar with the beauty and heritage of the land.

Each illustration in the game comes from her own field studies and reference sketches. Nothing is outsourced; she draws the scenes herself, chooses the themes, and oversees printing in Israel. The result is a small cultural project rooted in her belief that in addition to textbooks, Israel should be learned through curiosity and delight.
