Dvora Black studied Fine Arts in South Africa before moving to Israel in 1984 with her husband, Yochanan. After settling in the Jerusalem Hills, she began developing Judaica artwork shaped by the surrounding landscape, biblical texts, and decorative traditions associated with Jerusalem homes and synagogues.

Her studio in Tzur Hadassah produces blessings, wall art, and paper-cut inspired works combining illustrated botanical detail with scriptural and domestic themes. Many of her pieces incorporate flowers gathered from the hills surrounding Jerusalem alongside visual references drawn from synagogue windows, stone houses, and hand-painted manuscript traditions.
