De. Dan Bahat is an Israeli archaeologist who is best known for his excavations in Jerusalem including the Western Wall Tunnels.

Dr. Barhat was born in Poland in 1938 and later emigrated to Israel. He served in the Israel Defense Force from 1956-1958. Following his service, he studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he earned his Ph.D. in Archaeology.

He is the author of several books on the subject of Jerusalem.
