Kishor Winery

Kishor Winery is a unique winery in Israel and the world. The winery was established in 2010 in Kfar Kishorit in Western Galilee.

Kfar Kishorit is a village for special needs people that was created to offer special needs adults an opportunity to live independently in a dignified way. The community is integrated with the “ordinary” families of Kibbutz Kishor.

It is a gorgeous location and offers members several work options. In addition to the winery, Kfar Kishorit boasts a bakery, a horse training stable, dog breeding, an organic vegetable garden, a goat dairy, a chicken coop, and a media center!

Kishor Winery is one of the leading industries of the village, and the members of Kishorit Village are full partners in the wine production process.

They care for the vineyards, harvest the grapes, and bottle the wines. They are accompanied by experts who guide and assist with the process. In addition to wine production, many members of Kishoret Village work at the visitor’s center. They love interacting with guests and seeing others enjoy the fruit of their labor!

The winery has planted vineyards on 100 dunams of land at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level. They grow eleven varieties of grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, Morbader, and Sauvignon Blanc. Viogner, Riesling, and Chardonnay.

The high-temperature differences between day and night, which characterize the area and the structure of the rocky soil, constitute an ideal environment for a long and slow ripening of the grapes and give our wines their unique character.

Kishor Winery is proud to be making wines in an area that, during Biblical times, was known for its winemaking, as evidenced by numerous ancient wine gats (ancient wine press.)
