Shachar is a professional photographer with over 30 years of experience in photography and the training of photography students. He is the leading nature photographer in the Land of Israel. His exquisite photographs have won multiple awards.

He has served as the director of the Kiryat Ono School of Photography for the past 20 years, leads photography groups and workshops, is a freelance photographer, and is the director of the photography track at the Pardes High School of Art.
