Ofer’s Petel – Baider Farm
Ofer’s Petel – Baider Farm

Ofer Baider established his farm in Moshav Netiv HaAsara to grow berries suited to Israel’s southern climate, where fruit farming requires constant attention to timing, weather, and soil conditions. Over the years, he built planting, harvesting, and handling practices shaped by experience in the fields, maintaining consistency through careful decisions rather than expansion. After Ofer’s death in 2021, his brother Eran and daughter Mor assumed responsibility for the farm and continued its operation using the same methods and standards he set.

Netiv HaAsara sits directly along Israel’s southern border, and farming there involves daily uncertainty alongside long-standing attachment to land. After October 7, the family kept the fields in production and maintained regular harvest schedules despite disruption. Jars produced under the Ofer’s Petel name come from that decision to stay, continue working the land, and keep food moving from field to table.
