Ruth Bazak

Ruth Bazak runs a small ceramic studio in the Judean Hills in the settlement of Sderot-Sdeh-Boaz which means “fields of Boaz” in Hebrew.

Ruth, who is named for Ruth the Moabite, the grandmother of King David, loves the poetry of creating her work in the mountains where Boaz and Ruth met, as told in the book of Ruth!

Ruth is both an artist and a teacher, conducting workshops in her studio high in the Judean hills. Ruth draws a great deal of inspiration from the beauty that surrounds her and is particularly moved by the beautiful sunsets she experiences from her studio.

A religious Jewish woman, Ruth invites God to join her in the creative process by offering prayers as she creates. Thanking God for the opportunity and praying that each recipient will feel the love that she pours into them.
