Yael Shelyfshtain, born in Uruguay and an immigrant to Israel many years ago, is privileged to reside with her family in a serene locale known as Mevo Horon. It’s a picturesque place, graced by the presence of lovely people, and it is here that she has chosen to establish her studio. Nestled amidst lush nature and the melodious sounds of chirping birds, this peaceful and inviting setting serves as a wellspring of inspiration.

Yael’s journey into the enchanting world of glass was serendipitous, and she instantly knew it was love at first sight. Without hesitation, she enrolled in courses to explore this new realm, the realm of glass, and the rest, as they say, is history. Within her studio, Yael crafts exquisite works using various techniques like fusing and hot glass. She also hosts workshops, catering to both groups and individuals.

Participants in Yael’s workshops relish quality time, finding a sanctuary for self-discovery in an intimate, individually-tailored environment. Yael imparts comprehensive knowledge, starting from the basics and delving into the intricacies of glasswork. Her guidance leads her students into a realm brimming with creativity and boundless imagination.

In these workshops, attendees learn about different types of glass and various glass-designing techniques. They explore methods such as brush painting, bead application, and the use of powders, among other creative approaches. Yael has christened her studio “Artesana Glass,” a name with Spanish roots signifying both “the artist” and “the healthy art.” She firmly believes in the healing power of art for the mind and soul.
