This handmade ceramic bowl, formed and fired in the ancient soil of Israel, offers more than simple utility – it is a vessel of elegance, spirit, and biblical resonance. Shaped from earth, water, and flame, it embodies the timeless rhythm of creation echoed in the Land of the Bible.
The calming contrast of sage green glaze over warm, earthen clay evokes the landscapes of Israel’s highlands, grounding you in the natural palette of the land. Whether filled with fruit, holding Sabbath candles, or serving as a daily reminder of your connection to Israel, this bowl is meant to be touched, used, and treasured.
Crafted in the Judean Hills – where prophets once walked and olive trees still whisper ancient prayers – this bowl carries the spirit of Jeremiah’s words: “Just like clay in the hands of the potter…” (Jeremiah 18:6). With every curve and glaze, it speaks of transformation, purpose, and the sacred artistry of forming something new from dust.
Naomi Goldman, the artist behind this work, lovingly crafts each bowl in her quiet studio nestled in the Judean Hills settlement of Gevaot. Every piece is unique, made by hand, and infused with the love and peace of the land from which it comes. By welcoming this bowl into your home, you are bringing a part of Israel into your life – and supporting the hands that shaped it.

Handmade Ceramic Bowl by Naomi Goldman
Naomi Goldman lives and creates her beautiful one-of-a-kind ceramics in the Jewish settlement of Gvaot. Gvaot is nestled in the Judean hills of Gush Etzion. Gvaot is a unique community that is home to special needs Israelis. The community cares for its vulnerable members and helps them find meaningful employment where possible.
Naomi is the mother of eleven children, and in addition to her ceramics studio, she runs a small daycare for local children, including her own! Her older children love spending time with her in the studio, and her eldest daughter worked as her assistant for her project!
When Naomi enters her studio in the early hours of the morning, she says a prayer and asks for God’s help to make vessels that will be imbued with a blessing and bring joy to the home that it enters.
She hopes that each unique object she makes will bring joy and blessing to the owners’ homes.
