“Hope Lights Our Way. Always.”
Designed in Israel as a daily-use object rooted in national symbolism, this canvas tote bag carries the red anemone—kalaniyah—a flower closely identified with the country’s southern border region. Printed on sturdy natural canvas, the front features a single red anemone tied with a yellow ribbon, a visual reference recognized across Israel as a sign of solidarity, remembrance, and commitment to bringing loved ones home. The design is intentionally direct, allowing the symbol itself to speak without embellishment.
On the reverse, the words “HOPE LIGHTS OUR WAY. Always.” appear in clear, centered lettering above a smaller anemone. The bag’s size and reinforced handles make it suitable for regular use, whether for groceries, books, or everyday errands, while its imagery places it firmly within the current Israeli public landscape. The anemone blooms each winter across southern Israel, including the areas surrounding Be’eri, returning year after year regardless of events that have shaped the land and its people.
This tote was created as part of Kalanit Gifts, a project developed by Sipur Culinary under the direction of founder Adi Rozen, whose work centers on honoring Israel’s southern communities through tangible, functional objects. Rather than serving as decoration alone, the bag is meant to be carried openly and repeatedly, allowing the symbol to move through daily life and public space. Produced in Israel and tied directly to the region it represents, the tote functions as both a practical item and a visible expression of connection.
“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” (Psalms 126:5)

Red Anemone Canvas Tote Bag
Sipor Culinary was founded by Adi Rozen, a long-time resident of Israel’s southern region who has built her work around connecting people to the land through food, design, and shared cultural markers. Operating from Moshav Netiv HaAsara near the Gaza border, Adi has spent years collaborating with local farmers, artisans, and families to develop products that reflect real lives and real places rather than abstract concepts.
Following the devastation of October 7, Adi worked alongside her children to create Kalanit Gifts as a focused response—objects that could honor what was lost while remaining rooted in daily use. The red anemone was chosen deliberately for its deep association with the south and its recurring presence across the landscape. Through Sipor Culinary, Adi continues to develop projects that preserve regional identity, support local producers, and ensure that the communities of southern Israel remain visible, represented, and carried forward.
