This rose soap is handmade in Israel by Avital Raban, a certified clinical herbalist who lives and works in Kibbutz Ramat David in the Jezreel Valley. Each bar is created by hand with plant based ingredients, with native botanicals and essential oils that give the soap its color, scent, and feel.
The surface of the bar is embodied with a soft rose tone, and accented with rose petals and a rose bud pressed into the top. When water is added, the soap releases a layered floral scent led by rose, followed by sweet orange, lemongrass, geranium, and ylang-ylang. Tea tree and palmarosa add depth, and provide the fragrance’s structure as it develops during use. Cocoa powder and red clay contribute to the soap’s natural color and weight, while kaolin clay adds a smooth, velvety feel to the lather.
Cold pressed olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter, and castor oil form the base of the bar and produces a creamy lather that rinses clean and leaves the skin feeling comfortable after washing. This soap is made to be used daily, and changes slowly over time as it moves from full bar to sliver through repeated use at the sink or bath.
“As a rose among thorns, so is my beloved among the daughters.”

Rose Soap by Avital
Avital lives in Kibbutz David in Israel’s Jezreel Valley, where she works and makes her boutique natural remedies. Soap is one of her staple products, and Avital proudly points out that she always has at least one soap with Dead Sea mud available. She believes wholeheartedly in the healing strength of Dead Sea mud.
Avital first discovered the marvels of the Dead Sea as a soldier. She served in the Nahal Brigade and was stationed in a kibbutz beside the Dead Sea. While serving near the Dead Sea, Avital helped expand the Israeli settlement in the area. She says that it was terribly hot and difficult to work in, but she also notes that there is something magical in the air there.
