This candle was created for the June Lev Haolam box through a collaboration between Nicole Cohen of Shoresh Body & Soul in Neve Tzuf and Hadar Yaish of Hadar Natural Pharmacy in Nofei Prat. Nicole’s work developed through years of producing natural body products using botanical oils, waxes, and plant derived ingredients from local flora. Hadar entered the field after working in pharmaceuticals, and that background appears in the precision of the formulations and preparation process.
The candle is poured with soy wax and scented with lavender and lemongrass essential oils. Lavender introduces a dry herbal scent associated with rest and evening solitude, while lemongrass sharpens the fragrance with a brighter citrus edge. As the wax warms, the aroma disperses gently and gradually through the room..
The candle was produced in measured batches by women whose work honors the practical knowledge of oils, wax temperatures, scent balance, and preparation methods. It belongs naturally in the places where homes settle into themselves at the end of the day: beside a kitchen table, near a bookshelf, or at the corner of a bedroom after nightfall.

Lavender & Lemongrass Candle
Nicole Yehezkiel fell in love with the remote beauty of the Jewish settlement, Neve Tsuf, while she was in the army. When she completed her service, she returned and established her family and her boutique all-natural cosmetic company, Shoresh Body & Soul. Shoresh means “root’ in Hebrew and the name reflects Nicole’s connection with the land of Israel and the natural botanical plants that she utilizes in her products.
Nicole has studied traditional healing modalities, and as she studied, she became aware of the abundance of healing plants and flowers growing near her home. She began exploring blending local herbs, flowers, and essential oils to create effective and pure natural cosmetics based on plants growing in the Holy Land.
Nicole purposefully and specifically selects each botanical ingredient she uses. She considers the beneficial and healing properties of each component of her creams and lotions. The result is natural, cruelty-free products, small-batch created (which gives greater control over the quality), and healing.
