Roasted in the Jordan Valley, this mix is born from a family roasting tradition that began decades ago in the kitchen of Shalom Karavani. What started as nuts prepared for family and friends slowly became a local favorite. Today the Karavani family continues roasting their blends in the same region where Shalom built his life and livelihood.
Each jar contains whole almonds, pistachios, and cashews roasted until their natural oils release their aroma. Almonds anchor the mix. Pistachios add their dynamic flavor and distinctive green color. Cashews soften the blend with their smooth texture and rich finish. A touch of salt highlights the natural taste of the nuts and makes the mix easy to place on the table for guests, family gatherings, or a quick handful during the day.
“Then their father Israel said to them, ‘If it must be so, do this: put some of the choice products of the land in your baggage and take them down to the man as a gift—some balm, some honey, gum, ladanum, pistachio nuts, and almonds.’”
Genesis 43:11

Nuts of the Valley was founded by Shalom Karavani. In the 1980s, while living on a kibbutz in the Negev, Shalom began roasting nuts at home and sharing them with friends and neighbors. In 1983, he and his wife Esther moved to the Jordan Valley where he began farming produce. Alongside his crops, Shalom continued roasting nuts using the recipes he had developed over the years. The blends became popular with local customers, and in 1998 he began selling them commercially. After Shalom passed away in 2014, his children continued the family business, roasting and packaging nuts in the Jordan Valley using their father’s original recipes.
