A Sweet Story of Love, Care, and Israeli Craftsmanship
Discover five handmade cookies from Racheli’s Cookies, a beloved Israeli family bakery founded by Racheli and her husband, Uriel Mekhaber. From crunchy pecans and fruity jam to fragrant cinnamon and almonds, every cookie brings together comforting flavors and the care of traditional handmade baking.
A Family Story Baked with Love
Racheli and Uriel’s story began with a personal need. After Uriel was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 1998, Racheli began experimenting in the kitchen, creating delicious treats that met his strict dietary requirements.
What started as an act of love gradually grew into a family business. In 2007, Racheli and Uriel officially established Racheli’s Cookies, beginning with humble batches baked in Uriel’s mother’s kitchen in Jerusalem. Today, their cookies are made in their factory in Efrat, in the Judean Hills, and have earned a loyal following across Israel.
Racheli still believes that cookies taste better when they are made by hand. Each batch is carefully measured, mixed, and shaped—a tradition that brings a little of that original family care into every bite.
