The Knesset is the name of Israel’s parliament which is headquartered in Israel’s capital, Jerusalem. The Knesset Menorah is a bronze menorah over four meters high and three meters wide. It sits at the edge of the Rose Garden opposite the Israeli Knesset building.

The original Knesset menorah was designed by Benno Elkan, a Jewish sculptor who escaped from his native Germany to Britain. It was presented to the Knesset as a gift from the Parliament of the United Kingdom on April 15, 1956, in honor of the eighth anniversary of Israeli independence.

The Touchwoodesign team has created a lovely replica of the Knesset Menorah, in full color. It is fun and easy to assemble. To assemble the puzzle, just pop the wood pieces out of the wooden plates and piece them together according to the instructions. It does require any glue or tools and is a great way to learn about the menorah.
