Produced in Israel’s coastal south, this nut and honey snack comes from BarBary, a food producer based in Ashkelon that focuses on simple, practical foods meant to support long, demanding days. The bar was developed as a reliable source of energy made from familiar ingredients, prepared locally and sized to travel easily through work, movement, and time spent away from home.
The recipe combines chopped cashews, walnuts, almonds, and hazelnuts with honey and date honey, then brings the mixture together with raisins and chicory fiber. The bar is pressed firmly, holds its shape, and shows the ingredients clearly throughout. Sweetness comes only from honey, dates, and fruit, with no artificial coloring, preservatives, or added sugar added during preparation.
BarBary continues to produce and pack these bars in Ashkelon, where food manufacturing takes place close to home under ongoing pressure. Each bar is made as part of regular, local production in southern Israel and intended for dependable nourishment.

“Tevatit M’nat HaTeva,” the manufacturer of BARBARY snacks. Tevatit M’nat HaTeva embarked on its journey in the field of healthy snacks without added sugar and gluten-free in 2001. Just like in a chef’s kitchen, the ingredients are carefully selected for their highest quality and blended harmoniously to create delightful flavors and textures. The ingredients include Israeli Medjool dates, walnuts, almonds, and pistachios from California, whole sesame seeds from Bolivia, cashews and coconuts from the Far East, cranberries from the United States, and more. All the ingredients and factory products are suitable for vegans (except for one product containing honey), gluten-free, sugar-free, and kosher.
