Description

The box feels like Jerusalem itself — stone-colored, textured like the walls that have seen centuries of light and longing. Inside, each golden-wrapped piece is a small tribute to Israel’s sweetness — sesame and halva folded into creamy white chocolate, held together by the lightest crisp.

Oded Fenster once lived a life with competitive movement — the fast pace of professional basketball. When an injury ended that chapter, he turned toward creation instead of competition, learning the art of chocolate and confectionery in Europe before returning home. In Israel, he built Fenster’s Handmade, a workshop where each treat carries both skill and story.

This sesame snack is his way of honoring an Israeli classic — the halva of Shabbat mornings, the tahini of shared tables — made new through patience, precision, and love. The box, printed to resemble Jerusalem stone, holds sweetness and remembrance. It is a taste of home, wrapped in reverence.

“For Your servants have cherished her stones and favored her dust.”
— Psalms 102:15

Fensters Marzipan, the passion of Oded Fenster, makes old-fashioned marzipan a classic sweet treat. Oded is a chocolatier who approaches the sweet treats he makes with memories of his childhood. Each confection manifests beautiful memories of receiving something special to nibble on from his parents.

Oded has had a rich and surprising career. Prior to recapturing the sweet memories of his childhood home, Oded was a promising basketball player for Hapoel Galil Elyon. Unfortunately, his sports career was cut short after he sustained a serious knee injury. Forced to reconsider the direction of his life, he traveled to France, where he learned the art of chocolate making. Following that, he specialized in Belgium before returning to Israel to create his now-famous treats.

His marvelous marzipans are handmade from the finest natural ingredients, using recipes and techniques handed down over generations. In keeping with his values, Oded supports hiring people with disabilities to help him pack his products.
