Bring Israel into your home made by Craft’s Origin on the farm in Givat Nili in northern Israel.
Havdalah is a Jewish religious ceremony that marks the symbolic end of Shabbat and ushers in the new week. The ritual involves lighting a special havdalah candle with several wicks, blessing a cup of wine, and smelling sweet spices.
Craft’s Origin makes their Havdallah candle using an ancient candlemaking technique. The Havdallah candle comprises ten 100% natural beeswax tapers woven together. Jewish tradition requires at least two wicks for a Havdalah candle. Craft’s Origin’s havdalah candle features six. The tapers are hand-dipped, and the wicks are made from cotton thread.
The Havdalah candle is made from surplus beeswax from Israel’s beekeeping industry. It is a practical and beautiful way to give new life to a surplus commodity that would otherwise be thrown away.

Craft’s Origin is a boutique Israeli company located in an agricultural settlement, Givat Nili, in northern Israel. It combines art, agriculture, and sustainability with traditional designs and collaborations with other small boutique companies.
The family at the heart of Craft’s Origin is the next generation of farmers living on Moshav Givat Nili. After time away from the family farm’s verdant offering, they returned with a desire to find new ways to use the surplus harvest from the peach, nectarine, and olive trees. To use all that was left from the vineyard’s harvest and raise awareness for the essential role bees play in a farmer’s life.
They make beautiful beeswax candles by hand, revive ancient crafts of the Holy Land, support farming edible greens, and maintain a bee farm. They are researching ways to use surplus peaches to manufacture 100% natural unrefined peach kernel oil.
The Craft’s Origin family weaves together old, modern, renewable, and ancient agriculture to preserve the Holy Land’s traditions and beauty.
