Founded by the Fenster family, Fenster’s Toffee makes old-fashioned sweet treats with a distinctly Israeli character. Before he ever worked with chocolate, Oded had a surprising first career — he was a professional basketball player in Israel, until a serious knee injury cut it short. Changing direction, he traveled to Belgium to learn the art of chocolate making alongside some of Europe’s most respected chocolatiers, then returned home to open his own workshop.
Today Oded and Eyal craft chocolates, toffees, and marzipans entirely by hand, inspired by the authentic flavors of Israel — delicate marzipan, rich pistachios, warm cinnamon, and bright orange. Each piece has a real sense of place, carrying the aromas of ripe fruit, fragrant spices, and the people who lovingly make these sweets by hand.
Their workshop is also a place of purpose. The Fensters employ and train young adults with developmental disabilities, giving them meaningful work, real skills, and a space where they are treated with respect and dignity.
Looking ahead, there’s plenty more on the way: a honey toffee for Rosh Hashanah, sour toffee snacks for kids, a new marzipan bar, chocolate-coated marzipans, unique marmalade flavors, a blondie crunch, and other sweet surprises still to come.
“Our message to you is simple: we hope you feel the true meaning of what we are building together. Your support gives us the strength to grow our business, create jobs, and continue making our handmade sweets during one of the most challenging times Israel has faced. In return, we hope every bite brings you a little moment of happiness and a deeper, heartfelt connection to the beauty, flavors, and spirit of our country. Thank you for everything!”
