When reading the story of Rabbi Akiva, Boaz was inspired to create this gorgeous necklace. Rabbi Akiva promised his wife Rachel that he would buy her a “city of gold.” Boaz imagined what “Jerusalem of gold” may have looked like and fashioned a beautiful necklace with the Holy Temple, built first by King Solomon and rebuilt by King David, in the center. To each side of the temple, he has recreated a charming Jerusalem scene with houses, trees, and stars of David.

Boaz Netanel and his wife Tamar established their home and their family (they have been blessed with 7 children) in the beautiful Jewish settlement of Ali, next to the Biblical settlement of Shilo in Samaria. It is here that he creates his special jewelry.
The inspiration behind the Aley Tamar designs comes from both Boaz and Tamar. Their ideas are influenced by the beauty of Samaria and their deep connection to their Jewish faith. They feel honored to bring elements of their faith and their homeland to their jewelry designs.
