Ingredients
All-purpose flour 1 1/2 Cup
Baking powder 1 Tsp
Kosher salt 1/2 Tsp
Unsalted butter, softened 1/2 Cup
Granulated sugar 1 Cup
Eggs 3
Vanilla extract 1 Tsp
Almond paste 1/2 Cup
Milk 1/2 Cup
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 4
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 5
Add the almond butter and mix until well combined.
Step 6
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three increments, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
